too much information, too little time

Yesterday I looked at the pile of papers next to my desk that are "important" and need to be carefully filed away. I looked at my other important papers (will, life insurance, etc.) and realized I need to make more important papers (like a Power of Attorney).
That means I have to buy another brown accordian file, make labels, do the filing. Create a POA. Sigh.
I decided to finish my book, "Terrorist" by John Updike.
After I finished the book (great, sad), I thought that since it was Sunday, I'd blow some time making bread, which I haven't done in 15 years. But I realized that I hadn't had any exercise for 2 days. Besides it was sunny and snowy outside, and I can't waste the opportunity to get outside, even though it was 21 degrees. So, I went for a 4 miler with Rob in the woods.
I shouldn't eat carbs so much anyhow.
If I were to be honest, I don't know how to load the ipod with tunes, although as a former computer software trainer, I know that I can use my intuition and overly logical mind and figure it out. My daughter comes over and notices I still haven't loaded up itunes from the gift card she gave me for Christmas and I feel deflated and inadequate. Older woman losing touch with technology.
But, I think I 'll start another book. Or read one of the back issues of the Atlantic Monthly that is laying on my bedside table.
I also have to start looking for another part-time job. (recently lost mine) I have all these computer skills, despite the ipod thing, and Quick Books expertise. Then I think: If I get a part-time job, I have to figure out how to do all of the above, plus continue my volunteer work which I enjoy doing anyhow.
And then there's yoga tonight. For my stiff back and ever increasing lack of flexibility and balance. I like yoga. I have too many hobbies.
